Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Detroit Vipers and New York Empire.

The Detroit Vipers picked up a win at Empire Ballpark, downing the New York Empire, 3-2. On the mound for Detroit was left-hander Justin Young, who played a pivotal role in the win. New York falls to 1-1.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jaden Harris? The Detroit center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vipers on top, 3-2. For the game, Harris had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Young.
