Montreal beat Boston in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Boston Kings were defeated, 1-0, by the Montreal Mammoths at Mammoths Field, even though Felipe Almonte pitched well for Boston. Andy Wheelock recorded the save, his 5th.

Jesus Vargas drove in one run for Montreal. The 33-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Felipe Almonte. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"It was a well-pitched game," Boston manager David Fields said.

The Kings fall to 9-11 and continue their uneven start to the 2042 season.
