| Luchadors Sneak Past Rangers, 5-4 | The San Diego Luchadors topped the Houston Rangers, 5-4, in United action at Globe Life Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of San Diego pitcher Kirk Stabile. Stabile, now 7-5, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. Bobby Samu notched his 30th save in 31 chances.
San Diego used a well-timed hit by Josh Gannon to capture the win. The first baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Luchadors ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It's fun to come to the yard every day when you're winning," said San Diego manager David Fields.
The victory gives San Diego a record of 61-17.
