| Dallas Hot Streak Continues with 6-2 Win | The Hollywood Hitters went down to defeat to Gerardo Corona and his Dallas teammates. The final score was 6-2, in favor of the Jets. Corona got the win, improving to 8-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. The Jets, at 47-33, have now won 7 straight.
Dallas took a 5-0 lead on Jay Benson's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Benson hit in the top of the ninth, left Hollywood pitcher Armando Fonseca visibly frustrated.
"We've been playing some good baseball," Benson told the Dallas Times. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
