| Jets Use Late Score to Top Queens, 5-4 | The Dallas Jets picked up a win at Jets Field, knocking off the Denver Queens, 5-4. Starting pitcher Edgar Rodriguez was a big reason why. Dallas reliever Andy Urso got the win, raising his record to 2-9. Davy Johnstone was tagged with the loss. Vinny Hernandez closed it out for his 11th save.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Lorenzo Sandoval, who is tied for 5th in the UL in triples with 4, hit a double. The Jets went on to win.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Jets manager David Fields.
Dallas now owns a record of 37-44.
