Raul Lopez, who led the UL in wins with 16 last year, propelled his team to victory over the San Diego Luchadors. The final score was 4-3, Oklahoma City. Chad Strickland notched his 14th save in 19 chances. The victory gives Oklahoma City a record of 44-38.

Bruce Trinidad had a big solo home run for the Twisters in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Oklahoma City leading 3-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Danny Lara and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Twisters on top, 4-1.

"Raul showed what he's made of," said Oklahoma City manager David Fields.
