| Leon Triumphs with Late Surge | The Toltecs grabbed a win, 5-1, at Jets Field, overcoming a fine effort from Dallas pitcher Luis Vega. Vega went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The win went to Stéphane Dupuis in relief, making him now 2-0. Daniel Morales took the loss for Dallas. Leon, at 51-33, is 3½ games up in the United South.
Leon used the timely hitting of Ryan Fager to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Toltecs on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Leon manager David Fields called it "a good, solid win."
