| Hitters Clip Marauders , 3-2 | Hollywood picked up a win at Marauders Field, bumping off the Mexico City Marauders , 3-2. Pitcher Joe Ward was a major reason the Hitters emerged victorious. Josh Ford, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save. With the win, Hollywood upped its record to 51-33.
Hollywood used a well-timed hit by Mike Kelley to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hitters ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Kelley told a Hollywood Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
