| Atlanta Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss | Jonathan Wade pitched well, but his team, the Atlanta Peaches, still dropped a 2-0 decision to the San Francisco Pioneers at Pioneers Park. San Francisco reliever Clay Barahona picked up the win to move to 2-1. Jonathan Wade suffered the loss. John Pilkington closed it out for San Francisco, earning his 8th save.
Justin Fox had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for San Francisco. He came through with a run-scoring single to put San Francisco in front, 2-0.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Fox told the San Francisco Gazette.
The last-place Pioneers own a record of 19-68.
