Hitters Lose By a Run at Denver
Fans watched the Denver Queens and the Hollywood Hitters fight to the finish.

The Denver Queens locked up a win at Queens Field, knocking off the Hollywood Hitters, 3-2. On the mound for Denver was right-hander Josh Neal. He played a major role in the triumph. The first-place Queens go to 53-35.

Had Jorge Castillo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Castillo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Queens.

"Josh mixed and matched," said Denver manager David Fields.
