| Phoenix Gets Another L | Seattle parlayed a decent outing from starter Rodolfo Bustamante into a solid win over the Phoenix Firebirds. The final score was 7-5. Bustamante, the winner, moves to 8-9. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Adam Krawczuk closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 25th save.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from second baseman Antonio Valle. For the game, Valle was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 11th double of the season gave Seattle a 1-0 lead.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Bustamante. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
Phoenix has now lost 7 straight.
