| Luchadors Need Extra Innings to Top Firebirds, 9-4 | The San Diego Luchadors picked up a win at Firebirds Ballpark, downing the Phoenix Firebirds, 9-4. On the mound for San Diego was left-hander Danny Lara, who played a pivotal role in the win. San Diego reliever Bobby Samu picked up the win, raising his record to 4-0. Alex Dominguez was tagged with the loss. San Diego has an impressive 72-25 record.
Justin Hanna drew 1 walk for San Diego. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Alex Dominguez. It was his 8th walk of the season.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Hanna told the San Diego Daily.
