Bodamer Helps Luchadors Beat Firebirds, 7-4
Mike Bodamer knocked in 5 runs to help San Diego beat Phoenix, 7-4. The Brooklyn, New York native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. The save went to Bobby Samu, number 36 for him. The Luchadors improved to a lofty 73-26.

Bodamer contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for San Diego in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Bodamer took a curveball from Jim Burrows and stroked the home run to left-center. His 22nd home run of the season allowed the Luchadors to leap in front, 4-2.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Diego manager David Fields.
