| Seattle Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win | The Seattle Pilots faced a tough opponent in San Francisco pitcher Mike Ludwigs, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Pilots Park by a final score of 5-2. Ludwigs went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The last-place Pioneers now sit at 24-80.
Seattle got a game-changing hit from Josh Hays. The pinch hitter blasted a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.
