Luchadors Need Extra Frames to Get Past Rangers
It took 10 innings, but the San Diego Luchadors were able to beat the Houston Rangers, 6-5, at Globe Life Field. Victor Fuentes provided some offensive muscle for San Diego. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. The winner in relief was Nestor Velasquez. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 4-5. The save was credited to Dustin Seavert, his 25th.

San Diego used the timely hitting of Jimmy Taylor to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Luchadors on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I felt good up there," said Taylor. "I saw the ball well."

San Diego has now won 4 straight, while the Rangers have lost 4 in a row.
