| Toltecs Mow Down Queens, 9-3 | The Leon Toltecs overcame a pretty good performance by Denver shortstop Bobby Baker, beating the Queens, 9-3, at Toltecs Field. Baker went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Toltecs have won 5 straight games.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 3-3 tie, Leon shortstop Omar Pinales reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Leon on top, 4-3.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Pinales. "You've got to get results."
