| Pioneers Lose By a Run at San Diego | San Diego Luchadors starter Juan Rosario turned in an exceptional performance against the San Francisco Pioneers at Luchadors Field, resulting in a San Diego win, 3-2. San Diego pitcher Nestor Velasquez got the win. He's now 5-0. Jahlil Askew was tagged with the loss. Earning his 37th save of the year was Bobby Samu.
San Diego went up, 3-2, on Vic Murillo's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Murillo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left San Francisco pitcher Jahlil Askew shaking his head.
"We've got a great group of guys," Rosario said, "and we're having fun right now."
The first-place Luchadors have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
