| Vipers Upend Hawks, 10-2 | Detroit took on Chicago in front of a lively crowd.
The Detroit Vipers racked up a win at Hawks Park, bumping off the Chicago Hawks, 10-2. Kyle White, who started for Detroit, pitched effectively for his team. The Vipers raised their record to 11-12.
Detroit used a clutch at-bat from Brock Smith to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vipers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager David Fields.
