Makos Earn Win with Late Rally
The Miami Makos clipped the Jacksonville Jackals, 3-2, in 10 innings at Jackals Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Miami pitcher and Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, Guatemala, native Vic Marinez. Now 6-17, Jacksonville has lost 10 in a row.

Miami used a timely hit from Dave Castillo to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Makos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Marinez.
