The Detroit Vipers went home winners at Condors Park, thanks in large part to starter Hector Trujillo. Trujillo stifled the Boston Kings, enabling Detroit to grab the 2-1 win. Trujillo got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Enrique Flores earned save number 1.

Chris Harrison, who is tied for 2nd in the IL in doubles with 8, had a direct impact on the outcome. Harrison contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Detroit up, 2-1.

"No disrespect to the other team," said Detroit manager David Fields. "But it's nice to get an easy win."

The Vipers, at 12-14, sit in second place in the Independent North Division.
