Chicago Gets 1-0 Win Behind Lefty Carrell
Chicago got a first-rate effort from pitcher Chris Carrell, who frustrated New York hitters en route to a 1-0 Hawks triumph at Empire Ballpark. The win has Chicago at 11-16.

Carrell was dominant for Chicago. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts. He threw 101 pitches over 8 innings in the contest.
