| Orange Clip Empire, 5-4, in DS Contest | The Orlando Orange went the distance and then some at Empire Ballpark to drag themselves back into a tie with the New York Empire.
It took 10 innings to settle Game 2 of the Divisional, but Orlando eventually took the 5-4 win behind the efforts of pitcher Bob Figueroa. Figueroa threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs to aid the Orlando cause. The clubs are now tied 1-1 in their best-of-5 series.
Josh Pritchard came through with a big-time hit for Orlando. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Figueroa.
The next game is set to be played for Friday, August 6th , 2038 at Orange Park in Orlando. | | | | |
