Twice as Nice: New York Extends Lead to 2-0 With Walk-off Win
Behind the big arm of right-hander Greg Olsen, the New York Empire have opened up a healthy early lead in the Conference Championship. The Empire topped the Chicago Hawks, 1-0, at Empire Ballpark in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Olsen threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball to power New York to victory.

The decisive blow was delivered by Enrique Paucar in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Mario Chaidez to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.

"Greg was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said New York manager David Fields.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, August 14th , 2038 at Hawks Park in Chicago.
