| Empire Heading to World Series | All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the New York Empire are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Chicago Hawks are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently.
The Empire took a 3-2 victory at Hawks Park today, which gave New York a 4-2 series win.
With the win, New York will advance to play in the World Series.
"We aren't ready to go home yet," said Empire closer John Pilkington, who was named series MVP.
The New York Empire don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Leon Toltecs - San Francisco Pioneers series. Leon leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. | | | | |
