| McFarlane, Arsenal March to 8-1 Victory | The Arlington Arsenal defeated the Orlando Orange, 8-1, in Independent action at Orange Park. Matt McFarlane pulled his weight. The 11-year veteran went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Ivan Trivino picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-1 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 2 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. Dave Britt earned the save for Arlington.
Jim Milam had a big 2-run triple for the Arsenal in the top of the sixth inning. With Arlington leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Matt Harris and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Arsenal ahead, 5-1.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager David Fields. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Arlington.
