| Kings Deal Sunrays 4-2 Loss | The Boston Kings stifled the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 4-2, at Sunrays Field. Mike Cardenas, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, had his hitting cap on. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs for Boston. Bill Douglass earned save number 1. The Kings, now 14-15, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
Boston took a 3-1 lead on Cardenas's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Jeff Bolser in the top of the sixth, propelled Boston to the win.
"I felt good about my swing," said Cardenas.
