Hurler Kevin Hunt gave the Philadelphia Fury a solid start. The native of Newton, Massachusetts helped his team defeat the Orlando Orange, 2-0, at Fury Field. James Gambon, who led the IL in saves with 37 last year, earned the save for Philadelphia. The last-place Orange have dropped 7 straight games.

Dan Guerra hit a solo home run off Mike Beltran in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Fury ahead, 1-0. In addition to the homer, Guerra had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Hunt told the Philadelphia News.
