Leblanc Leads Kings to Win
Thanks in large part to right fielder John Leblanc, the Boston Kings beat the Detroit Vipers, 13-4. Leblanc was 2-3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Tony Martinez picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 1-2. Bob Scharlau, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

Leblanc had a key at-bat for Boston in the top of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Boston an early 3-0 lead.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Leblanc.
