| Mammoths 2, Fury 1 | Starting pitcher Jonathan Crutcher gave the Montreal Mammoths a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Philadelphia Fury, 2-1, at Mammoths Field. Montreal reliever Jonathan Crutcher got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Joe Jones was tagged with the loss. Andy Wheelock recorded the save for Montreal, his 7th of the season.
In the bottom of the sixth, Tony Castellanos delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Montreal catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Mammoths in front, 2-1.
"Runs were at a premium," said Montreal manager David Fields.
The Mammoths saw their win-loss record go to 14-22. At the same time, the Fury fell to 16-20.
