| Vipers Win, 7-3, at Toronto | The Detroit Vipers grabbed a win, 7-3, over the Toronto Robbers at Mounties Park. Detroit first baseman Gene Reedy went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. The triumph puts Detroit at 19-19 for the season.
Detroit used a well-timed hit by Benito Reyes to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Vipers ahead, 6-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Reedy after the game.
