| Fury Win, 8-6, in Extra Frames | A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Willis Mendez, who is tied for 7th in the IL in total bases with 65, led the Philadelphia Fury to a win over the Boston Kings, 8-6. James Gambon, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Fury improved their record to 18-21 by beating Boston.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Mendez delivered big-time for Philadelphia, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Ricardo Hernandez. The game-changing hit put the Fury on top, 8-6.
In postgame comments, Mendez said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
