Sunrays Suffer 4-2 Road Loss
The Jacksonville Jackals defeated the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 4-2, in Independent action at Jackals Stadium. Jacksonville pitcher Scott Lohmann had a standout performance. The Sunrays, at 15-23, have lost 4 in a row.

Hector Garcia had a big run-scoring double for the Jackals in the bottom of the second inning. With Jacksonville leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Roberto Vivanco, who finished 5th in the UL in strikeouts with 149 in 2036, and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jackals ahead, 2-0.

"No weaving and bobbing. Scott came right after them," said Jacksonville manager David Fields.
