The Jacksonville Jackals and Montreal Mammoths played an entertaining game for Mammoths Field patrons.

The Jacksonville Jackals cut down the Montreal Mammoths by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Jose Gallegos. Gallegos went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Jackals. Jacksonville reliever Scott Lohmann picked up the win to move to 2-0. Aaron Brown suffered the loss.

Gallegos had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-0 cutter from Andy Wheelock, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Jackals a 4-3 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Gallegos.

"I felt good about my swing," said Gallegos.

Jacksonville has now won 4 straight.
