The Orlando Orange converted a terrific effort from starter Mike Masters into a win over the Detroit Vipers at Vipers Park. The Orange won the game by a final score of 3-2. Masters, now 4-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Bill Meagher locked down his 3rd save.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Orange had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the third, when left fielder David Sanchez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Andrew Hood and made the score 2-0, Orange. Sanchez went 1-4.
