| Vipers Deal Arsenal 6-5 Defeat | The Detroit Vipers topped the Arlington Arsenal by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was catcher Adam Lappin. Lappin went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Vipers. The win lifts Detroit to a record of 3-2.
Detroit used a well-timed hit by Chris Weinreis to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Vipers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Weinreis said.
