| Makos Even Record with 5-2 Victory | Miami pitcher Brandon Diggs did his part in helping his team beat the Arlington Arsenal, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Miami is in second place in the Independent South with a record of 22-22.
Miami used a well-timed hit by Dave Castillo to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Makos ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Miami manager David Fields said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
