| Vipers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Jackals, 3-1 | Detroit Vipers starter Dan Reis pitched a strong game against the Jacksonville Jackals at Vipers Park, leading the Vipers to victory, 3-1. Detroit pitcher Enrique Flores earned the win, hiking his record to 2-6. Julio Labron suffered the loss. The win has Detroit at 19-28.
Detroit took a 2-1 lead on Ramon Guardado's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Guardado hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Jacksonville pitcher Julio Labron visibly frustrated.
"Nice win for us," said Reis. "Now we'll go after the next one." | | | | |
