Toronto got a strong outing from Dominique Bruno as the Robbers defeated the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 5-0, at Sunrays Field. Bruno got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Mike Lee earned the save for Toronto, his 2nd.

Bobby Goguen had a big solo home run for the Robbers in the top of the fourth inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Jeff Bolser, who finished 3rd in the IL in ERA with 1.73 in 2042, and punished it. The result was his 11th home run of the season, which put the Robbers on top, 2-0.
