The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Robbers and Tampa Bay Sunrays get after it.

The Tampa Bay Sunrays got a stellar effort from pitcher Matt Jennings, helping Tampa Bay score a win over the visiting Toronto Robbers, 9-2. Jennings yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 12. His record improves to 2-4.

Carlos Gonzales had a big 3-run home run for the Sunrays in the bottom of the third inning. With Tampa Bay trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from former first overall pick Josh Chira and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 13th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sunrays ahead, 3-1.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager David Fields.

The win makes Tampa Bay 19-32.
