| Jackals Bridle Orange, 4-3 | The Jacksonville Jackals racked up a win at Jackals Stadium, bumping off the Orlando Orange, 4-3. David Melchor, who started for Jacksonville, pitched effectively for his team. The winner was Melchor. He threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Travis Segura. Mike Ludwig closed the door for Jacksonville, picking up his 14th save of the year.
David Dowdy cracked a home run off Travis Segura in the bottom of the second. His 2-run blast put the Jackals on top, 2-1. In all, Dowdy had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"David throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Jacksonville manager David Fields.
