| Garcia Pounds 2 Homers in 7-2 Jackals Win | The Jacksonville Jackals defeated the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 7-2. Shortstop Hector Garcia deserved a large share of the credit. Garcia was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Jackals. With the victory, the Jackals upped their record to 37-13.
Brian Taylor, the Jacksonville designated hitter, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to make the score 2-0, Jackals. For the game, Taylor went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
