| Mammoths Deal Empire 9-6 Defeat | The Montreal Mammoths downed the New York Empire, 9-6, at Empire Ballpark. Tyler Craig led the way, going 2-for-4 for Montreal. The save went to Andy Wheelock, his 11th this season. Montreal is 19-30 and New York, with the loss, 18-31.
Montreal used the hitting of Sam Keough to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Mammoths on top, 5-0. For the game, Keough had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Craig told the Montreal Citizen.
