| Kings Absorb 3-1 Loss at Mounties Park | Andres Solano, who is tied for 10th in the IL in strikeouts with 73, pitched well, but the Boston Kings still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Toronto Robbers at Mounties Park. Picking up the win was Jake Price. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 9 and walked 0. Pat Greer earned the save, his 16th, for the Robbers.
In the bottom of the first, 23-year old left fielder Bobby Goguen hit a 2-run triple. The 1st triple of the season for the Toronto designated hitter put the Robbers on top, 2-0.
"We busted our tails," said Boston manager David Fields. "But we came up short."
The 'W' lifts Toronto's record to 34-18.
