Behind a fine performance from Steve Lynn, the New York Empire knocked off the Arlington Arsenal, 8-3. Lynn hit 2 home runs for the Empire. New York is 33-19 and Arlington, with the loss, 29-23.

Joe Rose drew 1 walk for New York. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ian Rowland. It was his 5th RBI of the season.
