| Sunrays Win at Miami, 3-1 | In a tight affair between the Tampa Bay Sunrays and the Miami Makos, pitcher Bonifacio Caleiro was in the zone. The Tampa Bay right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. Malcolm Fields closed the game out for Tampa Bay, earning his 2nd save. The win moves Tampa Bay to a record of 2-3.
Tampa Bay used the hitting of Tom Boatright Jr. to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Sunrays on top, 2-0. For the game, Boatright Jr. had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Caleiro.
