Fading Arsenal Lose 8th Straight
The Arlington Arsenal extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Jacksonville Jackals.

Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Brian Taylor, the Jacksonville Jackals defeated the Arlington Arsenal, 12-6. Taylor was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs for the Jackals. The win puts Jacksonville at 42-14 this season.

Jose Gallegos came through with a big-time hit for Jacksonville. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I want us to come out, have fun, hit some balls, and score. We're having a tough time," said David Fields, the Arlington manager.
