| Partlow Fashions Shutout Against Makos | Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Miami Makos as starter Andy Partlow shut them out, 4-0, at Jackals Stadium. The Jacksonville pitcher struck out 13 and walked 1 while allowing 5 hits.
"Partlow was good but he wasn't flawless," Miami manager David Fields said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Jacksonville, but this is on us."
To date this year, Partlow has compiled a 4-4 mark with a 4.73 ERA in 12 starts. | | | | |
