| Arsenal Turn Away Fury, 4-2 | The Philadelphia Fury went down to defeat to Ian Rowland and his Arlington teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Arsenal. Rowland, now 3-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Luis Calderon picked up the save, his 4th.
Arlington took a 4-2 lead on Bobby Pena's 13th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Pena hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Philadelphia pitcher Jose Jaramillo visibly frustrated.
"Ian was able to execute his pitches," said Arlington manager David Fields. "Simple as that."
The second-place Arsenal lifted their record to 31-26.
