| Marinez Skunks Orlando, 5-0 | Vic Marinez pitched a strong game at Honolulu Stadium, blanking the Orlando Orange, 5-0. Marinez, who finished 3rd in the IL in ERA with 2.12 last year, allowed no runs on 1 hit, totaled 10 strikeouts and gave up no walks.
Miami manager David Fields said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Marinez.
"Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Fields said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
