| Montreal Beats Miami, 6-2 | Montreal pitcher Jonathan Crutcher did his part in helping his team beat the Miami Makos, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Jonathan Crutcher, who is tied for 6th in the IL with a 10.3 K/9 rate, picked up the win in relief. J.P. Lutz took the loss for Miami. Montreal has a record of 24-37, placing them third in the Independent North Division.
Montreal relied on the hitting of Sam Keough to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mammoths on top, 4-1. For the game, Keough had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Crutcher told the Montreal Citizen.
