Vipers Rally Late to Nip Empire
The Detroit Vipers picked up a win at Empire Ballpark, dropping the New York Empire, 3-2. Dan Reis, who is tied for 5th in the IL with a 2.16 ERA, was the difference-maker. The loss makes New York 21-41.

Detroit used a clutch at-bat from Chris Weinreis to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Vipers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Reis.
